Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Reid Wilking LLC, doing business as SetupReady (“we”, “us”, “SetupReady”), covering your use of getsetupready.com and its services. By using SetupReady you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the service.

1. What SetupReady is (and isn’t)

SetupReady recommends desk-setup products based on your quiz answers, budget, and preferences, using product data we collect from Amazon and other sources. Recommendations are informational suggestions, not professional, financial, or ergonomic advice. You are responsible for your own purchase decisions, and all purchases happen on the retailer’s site under the retailer’s terms — we are not a party to those transactions.

2. Beta status

SetupReady is currently in beta. Features may change, break, or be removed; data created during the beta (such as saved setups) is provided on a best-effort basis. Features marked “coming soon” are not commitments to ship on any timeline or in any particular form.

3. Prices, availability, and product data

Product prices, ratings, review counts, and availability shown on SetupReady are refreshed regularly but can be outdated or wrong at any moment — prices move constantly. Currency conversions are approximate and for display only. Always verify the price and details on the retailer’s page before buying. We are not liable for differences between prices shown here and prices at checkout.

4. Affiliate disclosure

As an Amazon Associate, SetupReady earns from qualifying purchases. Product links carry our affiliate tag, and we may earn a commission when you buy through them, at no extra cost to you. Commissions never determine which products our engine recommends.

5. Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use SetupReady only with a parent or guardian’s permission, and you must be at least 18 (or have a parent or guardian’s authorization) to make a purchase. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse the service, or create risk for us or other users. If you delete your account, you permanently lose access to everything attached to it — including saved setups, wishlist and vault records, published setups, any lifetime Pro unlock, and any active Studio subscription (cancel the subscription first so it doesn’t keep billing).

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Scrape, crawl, harvest, or systematically copy our product catalog, recommendation outputs, prices, or any other content, whether manually or with automated tools;
  • Access the service with bots or automation, probe or overload our infrastructure, or bypass access controls;
  • Reverse engineer, copy, or create derivative works of the service or its recommendation system, except to the extent such restrictions are prohibited by applicable law;
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute our content or data without written permission;
  • Use the service for anything unlawful, or interfere with other users.

7. Our content and yours

SetupReady — including its software, design, text, recommendation engine, and curated catalog — belongs to us and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable license to use the service as intended. Product names, images, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.

Content you create (saved setups, wishlists, vault entries) is yours. If you choose to publish a setup publicly, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display it on SetupReady (for example, in the public gallery) until you unpublish or delete it. For anything you make public — including setup names and labels — you confirm you have the right to share it and that it isn’t unlawful, infringing, deceptive, abusive, or malicious. We may remove public content that violates these terms. To report content you believe infringes your rights, email us with the details.

If you send us ideas, suggestions, or feedback about SetupReady, we can use them to improve the product without restriction or obligation to you — that’s the point of sending them, and we appreciate it.

8. Paid tiers (effective when purchases open)

  • Pro is a one-time purchase that permanently unlocks Pro features for your account. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
  • Studio is a monthly or annual subscription that renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel or pause anytime; access continues through the end of the paid period. After any Studio subscription period, Pro features remain permanently unlocked on your account even if you cancel.
  • Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record; their terms also apply to the transaction. Prices may change for future purchases or renewal periods with advance notice — never retroactively.
  • Refunds: subject to applicable law and Lemon Squeezy’s terms, if something isn’t working, contact us within 14 days of a purchase or first subscription charge and we’ll make it right or refund you.

9. Emails and alerts

Some features exist to send you email (price alerts, digests, reminders). Using those features is consent to receive those emails; each can be muted from your account, and transactional/service emails may still be sent as needed to run your account.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of product data, or uninterrupted availability. Some jurisdictions don’t allow certain warranty exclusions, so parts of this may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of the service — including purchase decisions made based on our recommendations or displayed prices. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of $50 USD or the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights you have under applicable law.

12. Changes to the service or these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. For material changes we’ll update the date above and notify signed-in users by email or in the app. Continuing to use SetupReady after changes take effect means you accept them.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Colorado.

14. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect (severability). Our not enforcing a provision isn’t a waiver of it. You may not assign these terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of the service. These terms are the entire agreement between us about SetupReady and supersede prior discussions. We’re not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. You agree that we may provide notices and communicate with you electronically, including by email to your account address. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and this section) do survive.
